Our friends at La Cuchura, one of Baltimore’s top tier eateries, are cooking up a great opportunity to celebrate the food and farmers of our region and improve food access for your neighbors in need.
La Cuchara is offering a beautiful farmers market dinner on August 25 and donating a percentage of sales to support our Maryland Market Money program. Chef Ben Lefenfeld is preparing a Basque-inspired four-course vegetarian meal from peak-season produce sourced from Maryland farms that sell at Baltimore’s farmers markets. Cocktail pairings will highlight Hex Ferments, a Baltimore business incubated at farmers markets. Dinner will include a map of Saturday and Sunday Baltimore farmers markets showing where produce will be procured along with fun facts about the farmers that grow it.
Tickets are $69.30 (including tax and gratuity) and are sure to sell out, so get yours today to secure your seat at the table!
What will you be supporting?
Maryland Market Money removes economic barriers for food-insecure shoppers, providing a dollar-for-dollar match for purchases made using federal nutrition benefits at farmers markets. Maryland Market Money is a win-win program; it fights hunger and invests directly in farmers, strengthening the local food system.
See you there!
