Gobble Gobble – Where to Get a Local Turkey

As a farmers market lover, you know that many of the foods on your Thanksgiving shopping list and can be purchased at the market. This includes an all-natural, humanely-raised, local turkey. But if you want a Maryland-raised bird for your table, you need to act fast! Here is our roundup of Maryland farmers that are still taking orders for free-range, all-natural, never-frozen turkeys. In most cases, you’ll need to make a deposit and can pick up your turkey at the market prior to the holiday, although some farmers require you to pick them up on the farm.
